Whew! After 28+ hours in the car, we made it! The monster road-trip is officially wrapped, and it was great! We saw lots of family in Panaca (Mathews family), a wedding (Kimberly, you were beautiful!), and went swimming in the spring. We saw Grandma's house beautifully converted into the only place to stay in town, the Pine Tree Inn. I think Grandma, the ultimate hostess, would be very happy with the development, and we can't wait to come back as a whole extended family for the 24th of July celebration in 2010.
Uncle Phil led us on a 4-Wheeler ride up Condor Canyon to the waterfall. We got dusty and had a great time!
We got 2 farm tours, and if you have any questions about water-rights, sprinkler pivots, nurse crops, or alfalfa or corn, we've got you covered. Can I tell you, there's something fabulous about watching a lifetime farmer smile at his oodles of acres of corn or alfalfa, and say, 'that's coming along real nice.'
On we went to St. George, and finally dried out a little. One day was a whopping 116 degrees, and we didn't shrivel. We did learn that Nate really does need sunscreen at 4,700 feet, even if Monica doesn't. Good thing he's tough. Grandma & Grandpa Green showed us the sights, and let us ride the 'wheelers to our hearts content.
It was a great trip, and one we hope to repeat often.

Hey! Love your blog! It was so good to cross paths with you at Kimberly's wedding. Glad you had a safe road trip! We were so glad to get home after 30 hours in the car in 5 days! Next time, we'll be sure to plan our trip for 10 days.
Monica! I loved reading your blog! I followed a link to Panaca and then to Lincoln county News and read all the obituaries of people I knew who had died. Mother
